“Sharks are beautiful animals, and if you're lucky enough to see lots of them, that means that you're in a healthy ocean. You should be afraid if you are in the ocean and don't see sharks.”- Sylvia Earle
Welcome to Congratulafins!
Mission Statement
Congratulafins is dedicated to the conservation of sharks and rays, raising awareness and understanding through science and education. It was founded in 2007 when Christina attended a wedding that served shark fin soup. Over the years the focus has shifted from fin-free weddings to developing scientifically-accurate educational material and promoting citizen science for shark research.
